CINCINNATI – In a move to make school websites a more comprehensive communications hub for schools, SchoolNow has unveiled its new Spirit Shop™ feature, the online merchandise store for schools that plugs right into a school’s website.

Spirit Shop enables schools to quickly and easily create a school-branded spirit wear merchandise option, so parents, students and staff members can simply go to their school website to purchase popular spirit wear such as t-shirts, hats and other wearables.

In just a matter of minutes, SchoolNow can add a custom, fully accessible and ADA-compliant web page to school website – schools need not be subscribed to any of SchoolNow’s website CMS or any of its other communication tools to be eligible for Spirit Shop.

“Many schools get bogged down with managing spirit wear,” said Eric Fulkert, CEO of SchoolNow, “So we wanted to come up with a solution that not only makes it so much easier for schools, but makes them money in the process,” he said.

Schools simply supply a school logo or two, select the products they want to feature, then SchoolNow creates a custom web page that is branded consistent with the school’s brand and website. All technical aspects of building and maintaining the online store are handled by SchoolNow.

“Schools don’t have to mess with inventory, shipping or any aspect of fulfillment,” added Fulkert. “The online transactions are safe and secure. All schools need to do is sit back and count the incremental dollars Spirit Shop brings to their school.”

Fulkert went on to say how Spirit Shop school customers can use the income from their Spirit Shop to help pay for other web communication services such as website CMS, notification systems and mobile apps. “It can be a real money-maker, turning a school website into a mini-profit center, ” said Fulkert.

Spirit Shop™ is the latest addition to the lineup of powerful web tools for schools and part of the SchoolNow School Communication Cloud. Other tools include the website CMS, notification systems and mobile apps for schools.
